Dating from the 15th Century and comprising of two main sections, the Manor House and the Moat House, both overlook the gardens and a large central courtyard. With a splendid sense of space, authenticity, charm and comfort, Le Manoir du Quesnay offers a true taste of Normandy. Le Manoir du Quesnay is situated ten minutes west of the town of Bayeux which is home to the famous Bayeux Tapestry, the impressive Notre Dame Cathedral and a wonderful array of restaurants and shopping opportunities including the bustling, weekly open market.
The D-Day landing beach of Omaha and the US Cemetery are just 6 miles away. Other richly historical and artistic towns and cities such as Caen, St Lo, Mont St Michel, Deauville and Honfleur are all within comfortable driving distances for day trips. All D-Day sites are within easy reach with many interesting museums. Excellent restaurants specializing in seafood are close by at the quaint fishing village of Port-en-Bessin and Grandcamp-Maisy. The manor has 2 Bedrooms and 1 family suite (2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, 2salon, 1 dining room, 1 TV lounge and 2 kitchens for a total of 13 guests (18 with the moat house)
The Moat House: has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 large living room (dining table + chimney salon lounge) and 1 kitchen for a total of 12 guests that is fully equipped and separated from the manor. Can be added to the manor for larger group.
Around: the D-Day landing beach of Omaha, Bayeux and the US Cemetery are just 6 miles away.
Other richly historical towns and cities such as Bayeux, Caen, St Lo, Mont St Michel, Deauville and Honfleur are easy for a day trip from the manor.

Normandy is well-known for its Calvados fine liquors, ciders and Pommeau. We will arrange for you a tour and visit to our local partners
Leisure Activities
First, a walk tour in the property is a must. Enjoy with our private forest walk, horses paddocks ... A guide tour can be arranged. Then Omaha beach will be the place to see with all sea activities available. Bicycles available on site. Fishing allowed in the upper lake.
Cultural & Historical Sites
The D-Day landing sites are the mains sites to visit around the manor (Omaha beach, Pointe du Hoc, Sainte Mère Eglise...). The Bayeux cathedral, and William the Conqueror history and tapestry. Horse Riding
Horse riding are available near by in Trèvières (5 minutes away) Omaha beach horse riding are also available. Our horses are English racing horses and not suitable for a ride.
